Lay Dominican's Ireland

Welcome to the website of the Irish Lay Dominicans.

Lay Dominicans are part of the spiritual family of the Order of Preachers, commonly known as Dominicans, which includes the Friars, the Nuns and the Sisters. Our inspiration is St. Dominic, whose mission was to preach Jesus Christ and bring the Gospel message to everyone, but especially those who felt lost, confused or had wandered from their faith.

As lay people who are Dominicans, we share in the apostolic mission of the Order and actively share in the life of the Church. We meet regularly to pray and study together and share each other’s joys, challenges and hopes. We reflect on the Word of God seeking inspiration for our own lives and the lives of others.
