Old Galway Walk, November 15th
The event will begin at the Claddagh Church at 10:45am on Saturday, 15th November 2025.
The Dominicans have been present for centuries in Galway. Join us as we visit some of the historic sites where the Dominican friars, nuns and lay people first lived and began their mission.
Starting at the Claddagh Church at 10:45am (after 10am Mass), we will walk up the town visiting a few important sites, finishing at Kirwans Lane at 12:30pm with coffee at Busker Brownes.
Local historian Ultan Lally will us on this walk which will be of interest to everyone. It will be of special interest if you love Galway, or history and getting a glimpse of the life of the city over the centuries, especially from the perspective of the Dominican presence.
